I took this picture of Mark during a visit in the summer of 2002. This was right outside his apartment at Red Cedar Court. I rode my bike down, so we were able to get out for a ride on the one of the days I was down there...

We took this picture of Mark just before a service in which he presented the flag to the family.

I - we - continue to be very proud of you, son.
Here he is, shown by the arrow, presenting the flag. Mary and I were hiding behind a bush so as to not intrude on the family. I wondered afterward what they would think if they saw us there...
